We waited in a line that was half way around the building for ½ an hour. The ticket taker people wouldn’t let me take the poster I had made for Ville for his birthday. I was soooooo pissed!!! I hope that they give it to him or something. ARGH!!!
Yeah… we went into the Electric Factory and basically tried to push as far as we could to the front of the crowd. No bands had performed yet. That’s when I spotted Sadie’s friends (now my friends too), Alyssa and Lauren. We went w/ them since they had better spots then we did. My dad just basically lingered in the crowd, hanging out by himself. We waited a while. . . . Just pushing and shoving, trying to get closer to the stage. We managed to get 15 ft away. SCORE!!!!!
Then . . . . Gasp . . . . @_@ . . . Phil and Ape Margera, Rake and Dico came onto the stage. I started flipping out, telling them how much I love them. I doubt they heard me tho. They introduced the 3 bands that were going to play before HIM. There was Fireball Ministry(or something like that), some screaming jumping band with a jamaican lead singer, and Finch. Then came the mosh pitts!! Mosh everywhere!!!! Crowd surfing everywhere!!! Some dude’s head hit mine during a mosh and I was like “u ass!!!” I was squished for over half the time and I couldn’t move my arms. It was pretty awesome tho. I cant complain. *shruggs*
BLAH BLAH BLAH . . . . Those random bands that mostly no one has heard of finished and another fucking great surprise comes onto stage!!! Bam came out with April and Phil to introduce HIM!!! Holy fucking shit!!! I was hysterical . . . Screaming and crying. I was so happy that Bam was so close to me. I felt so lucky! He was so beautiful, too!
He had a long black coat on, under it was a black shirt. He had a single cross and wore black pants. He also wore eyeliner. I didn’t hear a single word that man said because I was hypnotized by his beauty. (I know that sounds corny but o well.)
My eyes were burning because my makeup had run into them. Bam left the stage and a documentary had come on. It was shown on a large screen on a side wall, as well as several TV sets around the large room.
After watching just 10 minutes of the documentary, the audience (me included) started screaming “we want HIM”. no disrespect for bammy boy or anything, but we didn’t come to see a damn movie. We came to see the best finnish band on the planet.
The smoke rose on the stage. Gas and Burton came out, followed by Mige. Linde came out shortly after, everyone frantically cheering now. Then Ville came out, his black beanie plopped on top his head. His lovely dark curls poked out from underneath it. He was dressed in a dark grey blazer with sparkly sequins on the front. Underneath he wore a black shirt. He had on several crosses and rosaries. His dark colored plaid, pajama-like pants amused me. He looked absolutely gorgeous.
Once again, I was caught up in the moment of being the luckiest girl on earth and started bawling. Linde started playing “Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly” on his guitar.
I was smiling, singing, and crying. I had basically no voice left from yelling. It was mid-song when Ville looked at the group of people I was in when he noticed me. He noticed that I was crying. Then he smiled at me. AT ME!!! He saw me crying and knew they were tears of joy. And at that moment, I was so happy. I wish I could relive it.
For the rest of the concert, I held back my tears and just sang. Mostly crackly yells came out, because my voice was nearly completely gone. I just lip=mouthed the words for when I couldn’t speak at all.
After HIM had left the stage, I went and bought 2 posters and a pair of gloves w/o fingers that said HIM on one and the other had a heart gram on it. HIM came back on for an encore performance. I had to watch it from the back as they did my favorite song, “Funeral of Hearts”.
Then we left. That was the best night of my life!!!
THANK YOU HIM!
